The Pirates of Privateer Point - Characters

 The Pirates of Privateer Point

A collection of ne'er-do-wells and scalawags, the Pirates of Privateer Point have eked out a narrow living by being a scourge upon the citizens of Alleron.  Looting and plundering was their main stock and trade until Admiral Marcus Swiftshank defected from the Alleronian Navy and brought his battleship and a sizable chunk of cash with him.  Since then, they have been far more organized in their raids on settled lands - including searching for more than just their survival needs.

Unfortunately, after Captain Goldhook's latest pay-data run, the Alleronian Navy caught up with the Pirates and besieged Privateer Point, itself.  The Pirates fought a spectacular battle, but ultimately stood down when Alleronian Admiral Monica Whitesand promised the Pirates their lives if they surrendered.

Biran

Biran is the muscle on the Beryllius.  His answer to most problems is, "Crush it," and he does so with a massive war-hammer.  He wears a bomber jacket and shades instead of pirate-themed clothing, and he's direct.

He was last seen flinging his captain and first-mate out of the reach of Admiral McSimmons - and onto a boat which was later set adrift.  This cost him his freedom, however.

Since then, he has been impressed into Royal service, joining Samuel and Victoria in battle against the Goblins.

Admiral Marcus Swiftshank
A former Alleronian Admiral, Swiftshank was one of the most trusted advisers of King Lysander.  Over the course of his service, changes in the king's behavior led him to defect from the Alleronian navy's ranks.  After winning control of the Pirates of Privateer Point, Swiftshank began to use the pirate raids as a cover for information-acquiring ventures, the climax of which included the theft to the plans for Alleron's new battleship, the Panther.  They are pursued, however, and Marcus surrenders to his old friend, Alleronian Admiral Monica Whitesand, under condition that they be spared their lives.

Swiftshank is known for wielding a cutlass and shield which were enchanted by King Lysander, himself, with "Void" magic.

Ricardo
One of Marcus Swiftshank's most trustworthy sailors, he joined his superior in defecting from the Alleronian Navy when Swiftshank raised his worries about the king's behavior.  An adept fire-mage, he helped counter-spell Alleronian magical assaults at the Battle of Privateer Point.  He ultimately faced off against Samuel and Victoria, defeating Samuel with ease and Victoria with a little less ease, but surrendered alongside of Marcus Swiftshank.
