The Bluefield Company - Characters

The Bluefield Company

Of all of Alleron's military divisions, the Bluefield Company may be the strongest, pound-for-pound, in the kingdom.  They are the personal retinue of Prince Darius, Grand Duke of Bluefield and eldest son of King Lysander, and are led by the knight Galliardo.  They are few in number but great in power.

Prince Darius

As the firstborn son of King Lysander, heir to the Alleronian Throne, and Grand Duke of Bluefield, himself, Darius is an outstanding mage in his own right, but is also excellent at using his fists in melee combat.  He is a little bit smug, but takes a laid-back approach to situations wherein he takes his time with any deliberation and he accepts that people have flaws.

He was ambushed and imprisoned by the Goblins under suspicion that he was a Balancer, a force of mana incarnate with powers so great that it is said a Balancer is what caused the world to flood decades ago.  When he met Habbo and Captain Goldhook while imprisoned, he respected the Captain's rank even though it was only validated within the pirate community, as well as demonstrating a respect for both men even though they are technically outlaws.

Galliardo

The leader of the Bluefield Company, Galliardo rides a horse better than most could dare dream of, and he wields his broadsword with incredible efficiency.  He has yet to demonstrate any significant magical power, but his swordsmanship is second only to the kingdom's greats.  During the battle at the Goblin Fortress, Galliardo personally led the charge to rescue his liege, Prince Darius, and to that end was brave enough to fight a Dread-Bones skeleton on his own - a daring feat, indeed!

Archmage Veyron

The greatest magical force in the Bluefield Company, and also one of the greatest magi in the entire kingdom, Veyron is surprisingly young for someone with his level of control over the arcane arts.  He would deny that he has any particular elemental affinity, instead claiming moderate skill in all of them.  He has been an instructor at the mage academy in Troy, and while he tends to fight from a distance he is more than capable of bashing in a skull with his jewel-encrusted mage staff.

Guelph Stoneshaper

Guelph Stoneshaper is a descendent of the ancient Dwarven people.  He is incredibly strong, adept with his dual-bladed axe, and - most of all - a proficient enough Earth mage that he can summon boulders out of thin air.  He was given his last name, "Stoneshaper," by King Lysander himself as recognition for his powerful magic.  During the battle of the Goblin Fortress, he was reunited with his wayward pirate son, Habbo Guelphson, who bucked family tradition by having an elemental affinity to air.
